Bio
Kathie Nitz is a professionally trained Life & Relationship Coach who received her training through The Coaches Training Institute located in San Rafael, CA. She completed both their Core (in 2005) and Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching (in 2006) curriculums. In November 2011, Kathie became a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® to help individuals and families pro-actively navigate the challenges of aging.
She runs her own coaching business, Strive to Thrive. Along with providing individual and family coaching, she delivers group coaching to corporations, small businesses and non-profit organizations. As a caregiver to her mom, she is also passionate about providing support for fellow caregivers. She understands firsthand the challenges caregivers face while navigating this new territory. What she's personally discovered is that the emotional charge within this situation can be minimized. After working with Kathie, caregivers walk away with clarity and a peacefulness that supports them as they continue the journey in their caregiver role.
Kathie is also a certified Too Young To Retire facilitator. Through facilitating the Too Young to Retire program, Kathie helps Boomers & Beyond create a meaningful strategy to remain engaged and relevant for the duration of their lives.
She is member and past President (2009-2010) of the International Coach Federation – CT Chapter, member and past Board member (2007-2010) of the Southbury Business Association, member of the Waterbury Regional Chamber and member of and "Caregiving Industry Leader" on Hygieas (a Global Association for Women in Wellness).
